LCRCA Consultancy Agreement - Water & Filtration

Merseytravel has awarded a consultancy contract to AECOM LIMITED for the LCRCA Consultancy Agreement on Water & Filtration. The contractor will carry out a feasibility study and cost analysis, including anticipated return on investment, in a detailed report covering two areas: the reuse of tunnel sump water for tunnel wall washing, and the reuse of building roof and waste water for flushing building toilets and use in sinks and showers. The study follows RIBA stage 0, Strategic Definition, RIBA stage 1, Preparation and Briefing, and RIBA stage 2, Concept Design, and must consider sump water reuse and filtration to current safe water quality standards, taking account of tunnel washing production requirements.
