Italy - Land transport services - Trial of a sustainable operating model for exchanging intermodal transport units between ports and their hinterland in the ZLS - Port and hinterland of Genoa (Buffer Prototype project)

01

The buyer is procuring a pilot service, the so-called port freight buffer, an operating model to regulate and make more efficient the flow of intermodal transport units entering and leaving the ports. It will be delivered in suitably equipped, organised and managed areas outside the port, to absorb peaks in freight traffic and rationalise loading and unloading transit times, easing congestion at port nodes of the Western Ligurian Port Authority, in Genoa, Italy. Only facts available in the notice are provided; bidders should consult the tender documents for procedure details.
