Description

ECMWF, as the Entrusted Entity for the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), entered into a contract for developing an operational climate service at the global scale for the agriculture sector. The objective of the Framework Agreement is to establish a next-generation operational climate service for agriculture, fully aligned with the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) objectives and capabilities. It will deliver high-quality, user-relevant climate data products across multiple timescales, supporting both short-term decision-making and long-term planning in agricultural systems. By bridging advanced climate science, cutting-edge data engineering, and deep stakeholder engagement, the service aims to empower users at all levels - from policymakers and researchers to farmers and advisors - with actionable, accessible climate information.
