La Métropole d'ORLEANS, compétente en matière de création, aménagement, entretien et gestion de réseaux de chaleur a décidé de confier à un tiers, dans le cadre d'une délégation de service public d'une durée de 10 ans, la conception, le financement, la réalisation, l'exploitation, la maintenance, le renouvellement et la modernisation du service public de production et de distribution de chauffage urbain sur une partie de son territoire : ORLEANS LA SOURCE, OLIVET et FLEURY LES AUBRAIS. Dans ce cadre, DALKIA va assurer en tant que Maitre d'Ouvrage Délégué, pour le compte de ÉCOME, la réalisation d'installations de production et distribution de chaleur. Ce lot concerne la sous station U34.
