La gestion du service inclut notamment les actions suivantes : production, transport, et distribution d'eau potable, dont notamment l’entretien, la surveillance, les réparations et les renouvellements nécessaires des installations de façon à assurer la continuité du service aux usagers ; la conduite des relations avec les usagers, et la gestion clientèle associée ; tenue à jour de l’inventaire du patrimoine matériel et immatériel du service et le recueil et la valorisation des informations relatives au fonctionnement des installations et à l’exécution du service. Le délégataire exploitera le service à ses risques et périls. Sa rémunération sera liée substantiellement aux résultats de l'exploitation et il sera chargé de collecter et percevoir directement les recettes auprès des usagers du service.
