With this request for information, HUS launches a market consultation to prepare a procurement. The aim of this prior information notice is to find suppliers operating in this field of business, get information of the solutions available in the market, and inform our plans and requirements for the forthcoming procurement. SUBJECT OF PROCUREMENT The subject of procurement is blood storage solutions suitable for transportation and out-of-hospital use. We are seeking information and brochures regarding blood storage solutions. We require systems that can maintain blood products at a temperature of 2-6 °C during transport and while the storage solution is in use. The solution should be able to hold multiple units of blood. The technical implementation and cooling system of the storage solution can be of any type, and the solution should be capable of functioning during transport and use across a wide range of ambient temperatures. The storage solution shall be designed to withstand variable environmental conditions and repeated cycles of accessing blood products without compromising its structural integrity or functionality. Please include the following details in your response: Product brochures and approximate pricing information. Technical details including dimensions, weight, cooling solution, storage capacity and the maximum period the storage system can keep the predetermined temperature. The operating temperature range of the storage solution. If and how the temperature of stored products is monitored during use. What types of alerts or alarms are provided if temperature requirements are not met. INSTRUCTIONS FOR ANSWERING Respondents are requested deliver their answers. Within their answer respondents may also attach any brochures available of the products/services. Answers should be submitted by 19.12.2025 at the latest to the email address: kilpailutus.aneteho@hus.fi. The title or message field of the e-mail should mention: Blood storage solutions INFORMATION FOR THE PROCEDURE This notice is not a call for tenders. HUS may specify the subject of the procurement in a subsequent contract notice. The requirements for a subsequent procurement and invitation to tender will be determined on the basis of the needs of the contracting entity, with the aim of taking into account the information obtained in the market survey. This notice provides the information currently held by the contracting entity on the procurement to operators on the market. The procurement is in the planning stage and the plans, with their schedules and information, can still be specified and changed. The request for information does not oblige the procurement unit to carry out the actual procurement, but the decision to initiate a possible procurement process is made separately. Neither the request for information nor its replies are binding on either party. Responding to a request for information does not affect the position of the tenderer in the forthcoming tender. The costs associated with responding to a request for information are borne by the respondent, and HUS does not pay compensation for responding to a request for information or participating the procurement procedure.
