Description

El sistema de sondeos que ostenta la CHS para la extracción de agua subterránea de acuíferos profundos a los efectos de paliar las consecuencias de fuertes sequía que puedan afectar a la Cuenca del Segura, comprende tanto la Batería Estratégica de Sondeos (BES) como la Batería de sondeos del Sinclinal de Calasparra. Estas instalaciones se encuentran casi en su totalidad en parajes próximos al río, rurales, y alejados de núcleos de población. Esto unido a que las instalaciones a proteger poseen equipamiento muy costoso, compuestas en gran parte de cobre en sus transformadores y cables eléctricos, hace que sean instalaciones altamente vulnerables a ataques de intrusismo para el robo de equipos y materiales. Ante la falta de vigilancia actual en esta infraestructura, se ha venido experimentando una escalada de los actos de vandalismo y robos sufridos en estas instalaciones, lo que demuestra la necesidad de actuar a la mayor brevedad, implementando un sistema de vigilancia que sea adecuado.
