Σκοπός του έργου είναι η αντιμετώπιση των πλημμυρικών φαινομένων που παρατηρούνται στην περιοχή που βρίσκεται στα όρια του Δήμου Βύρωνα και του Δήμου Ηλιούπολης και συγκεκριμένα δυτικά των οδών Αγ. Ιωάννη Καρέα και Παύλου Μελά, στην περιοχή του Καρέα, και της οδού Σοφοκλέους στην περιοχή της Ανάστασης. Ο προϋπολογισμός δημοπράτησης του έργου (εκτιμώμενη αξία της σύμβασης) ανέρχεται σε 8.064.516,13 Ευρώ και αναλύεται σε: Δαπάνη Εργασιών 4.841.929,56€ Γενικά έξοδα και Όφελος εργολάβου (Γ.Ε.+Ο.Ε.) 871.547,32€ Απρόβλεπτα (ποσοστού 9% επί της δαπάνης εργασιών και του κονδυλίου Γ.Ε.+Ο.Ε.) 514.212,92€ που αναλώνονται σύμφωνα με τους όρους του άρθρου 156 παρ. 3. (β) του ν. 4412/2016. Απολογιστικά 943.790,00€ Στο ανωτέρω ποσό προβλέπεται αναθεώρηση στις τιμές ποσού 893.036,33 ευρώ, σύμφωνα με το άρθρο 153 του ν. 4412/2016. Δεν προβλέπεται ρήτρα πρόσθετης καταβολής, σύμφωνα με το άρθρο 149 του ν. 4412/2016 .
