Description

Die DB Energie GmbH plant am Umformerwerk (Ufw) an ihren Standort in Karlsruhe die bestehende Maschinenkühlanlage, bestehend aus einer Pumpengruppe sowie zwei Einheiten mit jeweils drei Verdunstungskühlern, durch eine neue Maschinenkühlanlage zu ersetzen. Die DB Energie GmbH betreibt an ihrem Standort Lohwiesenweg 1 in 76135 Karlsruhe das Ufw für Bahnstrom mit den beiden rotierenden elektrischen Umformern UF E1 und UF E2. Zur Versorgung der beiden Umformer mit Kühlwasser ist am Standort in Karlsruhe für jeden Umformer eine eigene Einheit mit drei Verdunstungskühlern installiert. Die verdunstungskühler sind rohrleitungstechnisch in der Weise miteinander verbunden, dass im Notfall jeder Umformer von jedem der Verdunstungskühler versorgt werden kann. Die Verdunstungskühler sind mit offenen Kühlkreisläufen ausgeführt und entsprechen aufgrund ihres Alters nicht mehr dem Stand der Technik. Gemäß der Ergebnisse und Entscheidungen seitens der DB Energie GmbH aufgrund der Variantenstudie Maschinenkühlanlage Ufw Karlsruhe wird das Konzept Verdunstungskühler beibehalten.
