Die Stadt Hamm (Auftraggeber) schreibt die Leistung zur Fortführung der Umsetzung der altengerechten Quartiersentwicklung mit jeweils einer 1,0 Vollzeitäquivalent (VZÄ) in 9 Quartieren für die Jahre 2027 bis 2029, vorbehaltlich der gesicherten Finanzierung und Genehmigung des Haushaltsplan 2027 ff, in einem offenen Verfahren europaweit aus. Die Quartiersarbeit erfolgt im Wesentlichen in den drei Handlungsfeldern "Wohnumfeld und Quartiersgestaltung", "Gesundheitsförderung" und "Gesellschaftliche Teilhabe". Die im Handlungskonzept "Älterwerden in Hamm!" außerdem aufgeführten Handlungsfelder "Wohnen" und "Pflege und Soziale Dienste" sind in den Quartieren und Sozialräumen mit Informations- und Beratungsangeboten zwar vertreten, in ihrer Planungs- und Handlungsausrichtung jedoch eher zentral angelegt. Zum Handlungsfeld "Wohnumfeld und Quartiersgestaltung" gehören die barrierefreie Erreichbarkeit von Angeboten der Grundversorgung, die Infrastruktureinrichtungen und Naherholungsflächen, die bedarfsgerecht gestaltet sein sollen sowie Maßnahmen der Kriminalprävention. Älter werdende Menschen sollen sich in ihrem Stadtteil sicher fühlen. Ein weiterer wichtiger Punkt ist die Mitwirkung und Mitgestaltung. Kommt es in der Quartiersentwicklung doch besonders darauf an, den Bedürfnissen und Anregungen älter werdender Menschen mehr Aufmerksamkeit zu schenken. Die Gesunderhaltung im Alter soll durch einen gesundheitsfördernden Lebensstil und die angemessene Nutzung von Vorsorge- und Versorgungsangeboten unterstützt werden. In der Quartiersarbeit werden deshalb zusätzliche Angebote und Maßnahmen der Gesundheitsförderung angeregt und beworben.
