Das Technologie- und Förderzentrum (TFZ) ist eine Forschungseinrichtung des Bayerischen Staatsministeriums für Ernährung, Landwirtschaft, Forsten und Tourismus und arbeitet an alternativen Antriebssystemen für land- und forstwirtschaftliche Maschinen. Neben dem bereits am TFZ vorhandenen Traktorprüfstand, der primär für die Emissions-, Leistungs- und Kraftstoffverbrauchsmessung an Traktoren mit Verbrennungsmotoren und der für eine Leistungsabnahme über die Zapfwelle („Zapfwellenprüfstand“) konzipiert ist, soll im gleichen Gebäude ein weiterer Traktorprüfstand als Radnabenprüfstand aufgebaut werden, um damit die Leistungsfähigkeit und Effizienz von Elektro und Hybridtraktoren testen zu können. Mithilfe des Radnabenprüfstands soll der Betrieb von Traktoren aus der landwirtschaftlichen Praxis reproduziert und die dabei an den Radnaben auftretenden Drehzahlen und Drehmomente gemessen werden können. Ziel der Beschaffungsmaßnahme ist es durch das Leistungsverhalten, der Energieverbrauch, die Reichweite sowie weitere Kenngrößen von Traktoren mit unterschiedlichen Antriebskonzepten messen zu können, um daraus beispielsweise arbeitswirtschaftliche Kenngrößen speziell für den Einsatz von E-Traktoren ableiten zu können.
