DB Projekt Stuttgart-Ulm GmbH awarded a contract on 28 May 2021 for project steering services in the construction and rail sector. As part of the starter package of Digitale Schiene Deutschland (DSD), the Stuttgart region is to be equipped with DSTW, ETCS and ATO. The aim is to equip the lines with ETCS L2oS. The feasibility and the preceding development process for ETCS L2oS are to be realised in an innovation cooperation between the project, DB Netz and the system manufacturer. This cooperation must be coordinated and steered between the various participants.
