Description

Flüssiges Helium ist von zentraler Bedeutung für die tägliche Forschung am Max-Planck Institut für Festkörperforschung (MPI-FKF) in Stuttgart. Hierzu betreibt das Institut eine komplexe Infrastruktur zur Rückgewinnung, Reinigung, Speicherung und Verflüssigung von Heliumgas, sowie der Speicherung und Ausgabe von wiederverflüssigtem Helium (LHe). In den letzten Jahren wurden am Institut bis zu 400.000 Liter LHe pro Jahr produziert. Um diese Rate zu erreichen, ist ein im höchsten Maße zuverlässiger Betrieb der Verflüssigeranlagen notwendig. Um die Verfügbarkeit von LHe auch in Zukunft garantieren zu können, sollen nun zentrale Teile der Infrastruktur zur Heliumrückgewinnung und -verflüssigung ausgetauscht bzw. erneuert werden. Hierbei unterteilt sich der Prozess in die folgenden 4 Stufen: 1. Der Verflüssiger TCF50 "Stuttgart87" Bj. 1987 mit einer Verflüssigungsleistung von 60 l/h soll durch einen neuen Verflüssiger mit einer Verflüssigerleistung von mindestens 64 L/h ersetzt werden. Bei der internen Reinigerstufe muss die Füllstandsmessung des Sammel- und Ausblasebehälters mittles Differenzdruckmessung geschehen. Ein Kalter Ejektor ist vorzusehen. Der bestehende Kompressor ESD441 bleibt erhalten. 2. Der Verflüssiger TCF50 "Stuttgart 05" Bj.2005 wird einer Generalüberholung unterzogen. Bei der bestehenden internen Reinigerstufe muss die Füllstandsmessung des Sammel- und Ausblasebehälters auf Differenzdruckmessung umgebaut werden. Der bestehende Kompressor DSD281 wird erneuert. 3. Der 2000 Liter He Tank Bj. 1975 wird durch einen 5000 Liter He Tank ersetzt. 4. Die Steuerung für die Heliumrückgewinnung wird erneuert.
