Germany - Main contractor works for building and civil engineering: connection of the Neuweidenbach biogas feed-in plant

A biogas feed-in plant (BGEA) with pipeline connection is to be built to feed processed biomethane into the long-distance gas pipeline FGL 046 (DN600). The contract covers three works packages: a branch valve assembly on FGL 046, dismantling the existing unit and building a new one with a DN600 shut-off valve, outlets, a blow-off and paved surface; an approx. 1,700 m DN100 connection pipeline FGL 46.16 laid in open trench, including two field path crossings, a cable duct and reinstatement of agricultural land; and the BGEA site with a 300 m2 paved area, access, fencing, lighting, foundations, drainage and an approx. 45 m DN100 connecting line to the biogas upgrading plant. The compact feed-in plant itself is supplied separately. Construction starts July 2027, commissioning from June 2028.
