Description

Das Campusnetzwerk des KIT soll erneuert und künftig vom Datacenter-Netzwerk entkoppelt werden. Diese Trennung dient maßgeblich der Verbesserung der Betriebsstabilität beider Netze und ermöglicht es, jedes Netz unabhängig und bedarfsgerecht weiterzuentwickeln. Das Scientific Computing Center (SCC) des Karlsruher Instituts für Technologie (KIT) beabsichtigt den Aufbau eines Campus-Netzwerks der nächsten Generation. Grundlage der Architektur bildet ein modernes Featureset unter Einsatz der Netzwerkvirtualisierungstechnologie EVPN/VXLAN, durchgängig bis zum Access-Port. Gegenstand dieser Ausschreibung ist die Etablierung des neuen Campus-Kern-Netzwerks sowie die Ausstattung eines ersten Gebäudes mit entsprechenden Access-Switches. Hierfür werden insgesamt vier unterschiedliche Geräteklassen benötigt, die im Leistungsverzeichnis näher spezifiziert werden.
