Munich Airport - Replacement of the safety lighting system in Terminal 2

Munich Airport procures the complete renewal of the safety lighting system in Terminal 2, carried out in three construction phases while the terminal remains in operation. The existing system must stay fully operational until partial acceptance. Six central battery systems will be dismantled and replaced by new safety lighting centres with three battery strings each, about 151 sub-stations renewed, and roughly 11,000 safety and escape sign luminaires installed or added, with about 7,800 old luminaires removed and disposed of. Some 200,000 m of new cabling will be laid, around 610 system-bound and 1,430 system-neutral low-voltage monitors retrofitted, and full documentation prepared per FMG guidelines.
