Summary

Machine-generated summary

The municipality of Bidingen awarded a concession contract for the construction and operation of a full-coverage gigabit broadband network and for the provision of broadband telecommunications services to end customers in underserved local areas of the municipality, known as grey spots. The concession was awarded under the profitability gap model, in which funding is granted as an investment subsidy covering the gap between the present value of revenues and the present value of costs for network construction and operation. Funding was sought under the federal Gigabit Guideline 2.0 programme and the Bavarian co-financing guideline. The contract was awarded to GlasfaserPlus GmbH for EUR 404,552.16.
