Summary

Machine-generated summary

The city of Oberursel (Taunus) intends to award concession contracts to telecommunications companies for the construction and operation of gigabit networks and the provision of end-customer services in underserved areas of the city, so-called grey spots. The aim is to achieve comprehensive access to high-performance gigabit networks, strengthen the business location and safeguard the competitiveness of local companies. Funding has been provisionally approved under the federal Gigabit Directive 2.0 programme and the Hesse gigabit supply funding directive. The subsidy takes the form of an investment grant covering the economic gap, i.e. the difference between the present value of revenues and the expenditure for network construction and operation. The award of the grant agreement remains conditional on funding being granted in final amounts and the city's own share being made available under budget law. Tender documents are available on the DTVP platform.
