NETINERA Deutschland GmbH intends to procure new rail vehicles for cross-border regional passenger services on the Munich to Prague route, operating in Germany and the Czech Republic. This is a market exploration (not yet a tender) to find out which concepts manufacturers can offer in a future public procurement procedure. Possible concepts include multiple units and loco-hauled trains, where offers may be limited to passenger coaches or locomotives. Vehicles must meet all requirements of the tender by the Bavarian Eisenbahngesellschaft (BEG) and the Czech Ministry of Transport, including operation on electrified and non-electrified lines.
