Infolge der Durchfeuchtung waren umfangreiche Medienbestände der Universitätsbibliothek kurzfristig zu sichern. Der hieraus entstandene Bedarf umfasste insbesondere Bergung, Verpackung, Transport, Einfrieren und die weitere fachgerechte Behandlung der geschädigten Bestände. Erstversorgung, Einfrieren, Gefriertrocknung von 404 lfm wassergeschädigten Büchern (14.140 kg).
