Umbau des Schulhofes der Grundschule St. Johann in der Stadt Konz Die Grundschule St. Johann wurde zur Teilnahme an dem „Startchancen-Programm“ des Bundes und der Bundesländer ausgewählt. Mit diesem Programm soll die Leistungsfähigkeit des Bildungssystems in Deutschland nachhaltig verbessert werden, die Bildungs- und Chancengerechtigkeit soll erhöht werden und der starke Zusammenhang zwischen soziale Herkunft und Bildungserfolg soll weiter aufgebrochen werden. Um dieses Programm richtig zu adressieren, wurden in Rheinland-Pfalz 200 Schulen, unter anderem die Grundschule St. Johann, ausgewählt, die einen hohen Anteil an sozioökonomisch benachteiligten Schülerinnen und Schülern aufweisen. Das Startchancen-Programm hat eine Laufzeit von 10 Jahren (2024 bis 2034) und stützt sich auf drei Säulen: Säule I: Investitionsprogramm für bauliche Maßnahmen, 70 % Finanzierung, Gesamtmittel für St. Johann Säule II: Chancenbudget für bedarfsgerechte Lösungen zur Schul- und Unterrichtsentwicklung, Vollfinanzierung, 15.960,00 € pro Schuljahr Säule III: Personal zur Stärkung multiprofessioneller Teams, Vollfinanzierung, 78.360,00 € pro Schuljahr. Um mit der Umsetzung des Startchancen-Programms beginnen zu können, wurde eine Kooperationsvereinbarung zwischen dem Land Rheinland-Pfalz als Bildungsträger und der Stadt Konz als Schulträger abgeschlossen. Es ist beabsichtigt im Rahmen der Säule I, den zur Grundschule angehörigen Schulhof neu zu gestalten. Es handelt sich um eine Fläche von ca. 3.700 m², einschließlich der Nebenflächen. Die genauen Vorgaben zur Umgestaltung sollen im Rahmen der Planungsphase in Zusammenarbeit mit der Schulleitung, dem Schulträger und den städtischen Gremien erfolgen und soll den Richtlinien des Förderprogrammes entsprechen.
