Die Stadt Herrenberg beabsichtigt als Auftraggeberin, mit dem Neubau der Grund-schule in Kayh/Mönchberg eine zweizügige Grundschule mit Ganztagsbetreuung zu errichten, um dem wachsenden Bedarf an Schulplätzen Rechnung zu tragen und zu-gleich einen zukunftsfähigen, nachhaltigen sowie identitätsstiftenden Bildungsort zu schaffen. Vorgesehen ist die Realisierung eines Holzhybridbaus unter Einsatz mög-lichst regionaler Hölzer, der ökologische, wirtschaftliche und soziale Anforderungen in ausgewogener Weise vereint. Das rund 7.493 m2 große Grundstück liegt am Ortsrand von Kayh gegenüber der Gra-fenberghalle in naturnaher Umgebung mit Streuobstwiesen. Städtebaulich soll die Schule das bislang ungeordnete Areal an der Grafenberghalle aufwerten und gemein-sam mit Halle einen zentralen Ort für Bildung und Begegnung bilden. Die Stadt Herrenberg hat im Juni 2023 für den geplanten Schulneubau einen Realisie-rungswettbewerb mit städtebaulichem Ideenteil ausgelobt. Der 1. Preis wurde an KBK Architekten I Belz Lutz, Stuttgart mit Möhrle + Partner, Freie Landschaftsarchitekten, Stuttgart vergeben. Das Vertragsverhältnis mit KBK Architekten I Belz Lutz, Stuttgart wurde zum 01.07.2026 beendet. Für die Fortführung der Objektplanungsleistungen wird ein neues Planungsbüro gesucht. Die Planung befindet sich auf dem Stand der Leistungsphase 3 gemäß HOAI. Die LP 3 muss in Teilbereichen plausibilisiert, fortgeschrieben und überarbeitet werden. Ge-genstand dieses Vergabeverfahrens sind die Objektplanungsleistungen ab der LP 3. Es ist eine stufenweise Beauftragung geplant. Näheres ist im Vergabeleitfaden und im Vertragsentwurf geregelt.
