Description

Für den deutschen Beitrag zur Architekturbiennale in Venedig 2027 wird eine/ein verantwortliche/r Kuratorin / Kurator gesucht. Die Architekturbiennale Venedig ist die bedeutendste internationale Architekturausstellung. Sie bietet einen Überblick über aktuelle Strömungen in der Architektur sowie Gelegenheit zur Präsentation nationaler Leistungen. Der deutsche Beitrag für die Architekturbiennale wird durch das BMWSB und das BBSR koordiniert und finanziert. Der Beginn der kommenden Biennale ist auf Sonnabend, 8. Mai 2027, gesetzt. Für die Previewtage sind voraussichtlich der 6. und 7. Mai 2027 vorgesehen. Am Sonntag, 21. November 2027, schließt die Biennale. Die Direktion der Gesamtbiennale (Directors of the Architecture Department) ist auf den Architekten Wang Shu und die Architektin Lu Wenyu übertragen worden. Im Zusammenhang mit ihrer Ernennung geben die beiden Direktoren folgende Erklärung ab, die auch als Leitmotiv der gesamten Biennale zu verstehen ist: „In the current world, the rapid and multiple changes in architecture are more a phenomenon of appearance, the result of excessive conceptualization or marked commercialization. Conceptual experiments driven to extremes are often divorced from reality and over-commercialization tends to be merely popular and short-lived. This phenomenon changes rapidly in order to survive, breaking away from the connection with the real place. It will lead to the death of architecture. Therefore, architecture becomes a kind of delusional expression about the future. For this reason, in the face of the real crisis of this world, insisting on a simple and true concept and method of architecture has a special value.
