Summary
Machine-generated summaryThe Regional Council of Freiburg (Regierungspräsidium Freiburg), Baden-Württemberg, is procuring expert services for beaver management. Beavers returned to the region in the 1990s, and their habitat engineering causes recurring conflicts with people. The contractor will advise and support nature conservation authorities in the field, train volunteers, manage conflicts on site, assess professional issues concerning beavers in planning and intervention procedures, and monitor the beaver population, including GIS-based reporting. Required expertise includes ecology, with zoology, limnology and water engineering an advantage, plus references, experience with authorities and associations, and suitable equipment for office and field work.
