Verkehrsgesellschaft Kreis Herford GmbH, a newly founded public transport operator in the Herford district (Germany), is procuring the supply and maintenance of 3 electric buses (12 metres) and 11 electric buses (18 metres) as stage 2 of its procurement strategy. Delivery of accepted vehicles must be completed by 31 May 2027. Optionally, up to 20 additional 12-metre electric buses may be called off. The service and spare parts contract following delivery has a minimum term of 10 years, to be negotiated. Bidders may provide a test vehicle by prior arrangement.
