Geothermie Graefelfing GmbH & Co. KG is building a deep geothermal plant to supply district heating to the municipality, developing the Malm reservoir. The project covers four geothermal deep boreholes (two doublets, each with one production well and one injection well) drilled from a common drilling site, plus a technical building and a district heating network with a redundancy and peak-load heating plant, so that a 100 percent CO2-free heat supply is ensured. The contract covered the supply and installation of liner hangers. The contract was awarded to NOV Germany GmbH, with the award announced on 18 August 2026.
