DB InfraGO AG, Regionalbereich Mitte, plans a total closure of the Flieden to Gemuenden lines 3825/3826 up to Burgsinn from 15.10.2027 to 27.04.2029 (18 months) to renew tunnels, bridges, stations, electronic interlockings and other structures. The tender packages cover cable trench civil engineering including detailed design over 45 km of line, cable laying and removal, the rebuild of Sterbfritz station with platform demolition and reconstruction, a new platform bridge and ramp structure, signal masts, deep drainage and conventional track construction, plus track superstructure works along the whole 45 km section, both as associated works and using heavy machinery technology.
