Gasunie Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG awarded a contract for the supply of 250 electronic data gateways for gas metering systems. The gateways had to hold a valid PTB type examination certificate, meet the DSfG remote data transmission specifications and DVGW worksheet G485, and support the DSfG (Class A and B), Modbus TCP/RTU/ASCII and RS485 communication protocols. Other requirements included use as a Modbus slave, an integrated signature function or DSfG remote transmission signing unit, an RJ45 connection for the Class B interface, and a 1/3 19-inch width housing. The contract was won by Elster GmbH for EUR 735,000.
