Die Systeme sollen in schulischen Unterrichtsumgebungen eingesetzt werden, in denen CAD-Anwendungen für Konstruktion, Planung, Modellierung und technische Visualisierung genutzt werden. Hierfür werden Arbeitsplatzsysteme benötigt, die gegenüber Standard-PCs eine erhöhte Leistungsfähigkeit, eine stabile Systemumgebung sowie eine zuverlässige Nutzung im laufenden Unterrichtsbetrieb ermöglichen.
