Centralised Health Based Place of Safety (CHBPoS) - furniture to kit out new unit

Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust awarded a contract for specialist furniture to kit out its new Centralised Health Based Place of Safety. The furniture covers two assessment rooms with 12 chairs and 2 coffee tables, a patient lounge and diner with a two-seater sofa, rocking chair, armchair, coffee table, dining table and six chairs, and an extra care area with a calming bench chair. The furniture must be robust and weighted for a challenging mental health environment and meet clinical, moving and handling, infection prevention and control, and facilities management standards. The contract was awarded to Pineapple Contracts Unlimited. Final goods are selected following testing with patients and staff.
