The clinical laboratory of VITAZ vzw in Belgium intends to renew its current equipment named 'blood culture incubator(s)' to guarantee continuity of microbiological blood culture diagnostics. The solution must provide automatic detection of positive blood cultures, allow loading of samples without a laboratory worker opening the incubator, and automatically unload both positive and negative cultures, with a minimum capacity of 800 incubation positions. The purchase includes delivery, installation, commissioning, validation and operator training. A framework agreement for device-bound consumables and reagents is foreseen for an estimated economic lifespan of 10 years, plus a service and maintenance contract after the warranty period, extendable for as long as the equipment is in use.
