Angus Community Link Worker Service

Angus Council intends to procure a Community Link Worker Service to support people aged 16 years and over to improve their health and wellbeing by addressing the non-medical social factors that impact their lives. Working alongside GP practices and primary care teams, Community Link Workers will provide person-centred, holistic support, helping individuals access community resources and services that improve wellbeing, reduce health inequalities and promote earlier intervention. The maximum available budget for this contract is 320,000 GBP for the initial one-year contract period and the optional one-year extension. Bidders are required to submit prices for both the initial one-year contract period and the optional one-year extension in the Pricing Schedule - Part 6. The combined total value must not exceed 320,000 GBP. Tenders exceeding this amount will be excluded from further consideration. TUPE may apply and information has been provided in Part 8 of the tender documents. This procurement represents a re-procurement of an existing service/contract. Following a review of service requirements and available funding, the requirement has been revised and the contract value is reduced compared with the previous arrangement. A summary of the expected community benefits has been provided as follows: CLW Part 7 - Quality Statement, Question 6 asks bidders to provide information on how they will assist the council in furthering specific sustainability and community benefit objectives. This will be evaluated as part of the tender process. Please note that each Bidder should complete a Single Procurement Document (SPD) on Public Contracts (Scotland PCS).
