As part of the town centre activation of Furth with Göttweig, the Furth bei Göttweig primary school is being modernised and extended, and the public library is being integrated into the school building. The existing sections, namely the old primary school, the Meierhof wing and the 1980s extension, are being modernised. The former town hall is being integrated into the primary school, re-designated and modernised. Parts of the old primary school and the 1980s extension are being demolished in favour of a new extension (a connecting wing). The adjoining shed is being converted into a cultural barn and integrated into the school building. The works procured cover wooden interior doors and fire protection portals.
