The Health and Safety Executive has awarded contracts for the provision of guidance on the safe deployment and use of collaborative robots in industry. HSE sought two suppliers to help deliver a vendor-neutral, practical safety guidance document supporting small and medium-sized enterprises adopting collaborative robot technologies. The work supports the Collaborative Robot Applications (Cobot) Safety Guidance for SMEs project, funded by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology and the Regulatory Innovation Office, involving HSE, Automate UK and The Manufacturing Technology Centre. The winners are P.P.M.A. LIMITED and THE MANUFACTURING TECHNORE CENTRE LIMITED. The contract was awarded on 2026-06-22. No contract value, duration or reopening date is given in the notice.
