Description

Migrationsverket genomför en upphandling av biometristationer bestående av hårdvara och mjukvara för fångst, bearbetning samt leverans av biometrisk information. Migrationsverket och utlandsmyndigheterna (med delegation från Migrationsverket) tar emot ansökningar om uppehållstillstånd, visering (huvudsakligen på utlandsmyndigheterna) samt olika resehandlingar. Man registrerar även förekomsten av uppehållsrätt. Som en del i detta förfarande tas biometriska uppgifter upp i form av foto, fingeravtryck (2 eller 10 stycken) samt signatur. Dessa biometriska kännetecken integreras sedan i det tillståndsbevis eller resehandling som kan komma att utfärdas eller, i fallet visering, lagras i en central EU-gemensam databas. Migrationsverket genomför även så kallade daktningar på personer som efter inresa i Sverige ansöker om asyl. I dagsläget har Migrationsverket placerat ut utrustning för biometrifångst på de orter och i det antal som framgår i bilaga 3 Biometristationer-nuvarande-installationer. Sådana orter, liksom antalet hårdvaruuppsättningar kan variera under avtalstiden och beror på yttre såväl som inre faktorer. Se upphandlingsdokumentet
