Survey of potential Western Channel MPA control sites

The Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) is procuring an offshore survey to identify control sites for the Western Channel Marine Conservation Zone. The work includes acquisition and interpretation of multibeam bathymetry and backscatter, ground truthing and habitat characterisation, an optional repeat bathymetry survey for change detection, and a final report. The results will support planning of a future effectiveness of measures survey to monitor environmental changes if proposed fisheries management measures take effect.
