Finland - Occupational health services - Procurement of occupational health services

The municipality of Siuntio invites tenders for occupational health services for its staff, covering approximately 220 employees. The service includes the statutory preventive activities under the Occupational Health Care Act 1383/2001 (KL1 activities) and vaccinations needed for work. Services will be delivered at the provider's premises and as remote services. The contracting authority may temporarily provide premises to the supplier for small-scale activities, such as administering vaccinations. As an option, the procurement covers work-ability-oriented general and specialist level medical care under the same act (KL2 activities). The authority will use at least part of the option at the start of the contract period, either partially or fully. Excluded: treatment of chronic illnesses, annual leave transfers, prescription renewals, leisure-time accidents and emergency-type activity within occupational health.
