Finland - Construction works - Kuopio city centre stadium

The City of Kuopio is inviting requests to participate in a stadium project, run as a competitive negotiated procedure to assess different implementation options and solutions. The planned project covers a stadium meeting UEFA category 4 criteria with a total of 8,000 covered seats, plus commercial premises of about 3,600 m2 including parking solutions. The stadium stands will be owned by the city and built under a design-build contract, while the commercial premises will pass to private ownership and private implementation responsibility. The city will lease around 750 m2 of sports service premises from the commercial development under a long-term lease. The works include stand structures, renewal of lighting and heated indoor spaces for sports use, with the commercial complex possibly up to about 4,000 m2.
