Description

Das Bundesamt für Statistik BFS ist das nationale Zentrum der öffentlichen Statistik der Schweiz. Es produziert und veröffentlicht wichtige statistische Informationen zum Zustand und zur Entwicklung von Bevölkerung, Wirtschaft, Gesellschaft, Raum und Umwelt. Es ergänzt diese durch übergreifende Analysen, entwickelt Indikatorensysteme zur Erfassung komplexer Sachverhalte, erarbeitet Szenarien künftiger Entwicklungen und sichert den historischen Datenbestand. Alle Aktivitäten des BFS basieren auf dem Bundesstatistikgesetz BstatG, der Verordnung über die Organisation der Bundesstatistik sowie weiteren spezifischen Gesetzesgrundlagen. Im Anhang der Verordnung werden über 200 konkrete statistische Aktivitäten aufgelistet. Die Statistikproduktion reicht von der Konzeption einer Erhebung, über die Datenerfassung, die Qualitätskontrolle, die Kundenbetreuung, die Datenauswertung bis zur Publikation. In Phasen grosser Arbeitslast greift das BFS punktuell auf die Unterstützung von externen Personalverleihern zurück. Da dies im ganzen statistischen Produktionsprozess der Fall sein kann, variieren die Anforderungen an das zu vermittelnde Personal. Um nicht planbare Ausfälle (Langzeitabwesenheiten, Mutterschaftsurlaube etc.) kompensieren zu können, greift das BFS auf Mitarbeitende von externen Personalverleihern zurück.
