Description
Das Chopper-System wird verwendet, um aus dem kontinuierlichen Strahl an den Instrumenten ICON, NEUTRA und BOA einen gepulsten Neutronenstrahl zu erzeugen, um wellenlängenaufgelöste Neutronenbildgebungsmessungen basierend auf der Flugzeitmethode (ToF) durchzuführen. Zu diesem Zweck wird das Chopper-System in Kombination mit einem Detektorsystem eingesetzt, das nicht Teil der vorliegenden Ausschreibung ist. Das Chopper-System wird nicht fest in ein Instrument eingebaut, sondern entsprechend dem experimentellen Messprogramm in das gewünschte Instrument ein- und ausgebaut.
