Die SBB AG strebt die Beschaffung von bis zu 40 mehrstromfähigen Hochgeschwindigkeitszügen für den internationalen Personenverkehr über ein Operating Lease gemäss Abgrenzung für Finanzierungsleasing nach Swiss GAAP FER 13 «Leasinggeschäfte» an. Die Fahrzeuge sollen in der Schweiz, Frankreich, Italien, Spanien, England (London), Belgien und den Niederlanden zum Einsatz kommen. Die vorliegende Ausschreibung beinhaltet den hierfür erforderlichen Leasingvertrag mit einer Grundlaufzeit von 15 Jahren. Zudem umfasst die Beschaffung Optionen gemäss Angaben hiernach. Parallel zur Ausschreibung des Vertrags zum Operating Lease wird die SBB AG eine Ausschreibung betreffend einen Kaufvertrag für die bis zu 40 Fahrzeuge der Grundbestellmenge und einen Servicevertrag für deren Instandhaltung über 15 Jahre durchführen. Der geplante Start dieses Verfahrens ist im 2. Quartal 2026. Nach der Zuschlagserteilung an den Rollmaterialhersteller ist geplant, dass der Kaufvertrag über die Grundbestellmenge von bis zu 40 Fahrzeugen an den Leasinggeber übertragen wird. Sämtliche Optionsrechte sowie der Servicevertrag Instandhaltung bleiben bei der SBB AG und werden nicht an den Leasinggeber übertragen.
