Der Auftrag umfasst die Erarbeitung des Zukunftsbildes 2050 (ZB2050) als strategisches Fundament für das Agglomerationsprogramm Basel der 6. Generation (AP6). Ziel des Mandats ist die Erstellung eines belastbaren, trinational abgestimmten Synthesebildes, das als verbindliche Basis für die Massnahmenherleitung im AP6 dient. Der Leistungsumfang beinhaltet interdisziplinäre Planungsarbeiten in den Themenfeldern Siedlung, Verkehr, Landschaft und Klima über den gesamten Bearbeitungsperimeter der Agglomeration Basel. Die Erarbeitung erfolgt methodisch in einem zirkulären Workshopverfahren, das in fünf Arbeitspakete (AP) gegliedert ist. Zu den erwarteten Endprodukten gehören ein integrierter Gesamtplan (grafisch und textlich), ein technischer Schlussbericht sowie eine Roadmap mit einem Umsetzungspfad für strategische Schlüsselmassnahmen.
