Renovation of old digester BL02, sludge dewatering with mobile press

The buyer, the wastewater association RHV Ried, requires sludge dewatering services using a mobile press at its wastewater treatment plant. The work covers dewatering of digested sludge, around 250 m3, arising from emptying the old digester. The residual sludge is fed into the smallest of three supernatant water basins so sand and debris can settle; the largely pre-treated sludge is stored in the other two basins. The mobile press is set up in the adjacent sludge storage hall, and the sludge is pumped from the basins to the press. Electricity and water are provided by the contracting authority. Filtrate water can be discharged by hose to the inlet of the first treatment stage. Execution period: calendar weeks 13 to 37.
