Description

Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) was undertaken at Sedgemoor Residential Care Hub in July 2025. The FRA identified significant and serious deficiencies in passive fire protection measures. As a result of the FRA, and an action plan has been developed to rectify these issues. A "start from first principles" approach was adopted to ensure an effective and compliant remediation strategy. This included commissioning the following specialist surveys and documentation: • A retrospective fire strategy; • A detailed compartmentation survey, complete with a remedial action plan; • Fire door inspections and surveys. The compartmentation survey produced a structured remediation plan, which enabled the Council to seek indicative quotations from specialist contractors.
