The hospital of the Brothers of Mercy in Eggenberg is to be renovated, mainly to renew building wing G2 for future use as a geriatric and general psychiatry unit. In total, 60 beds are planned for the psychiatric wards, while the existing 34 beds for neurology will be retained. As part of the conversion works, the hospital will also be brought up to current fire protection and personal safety standards. For this purpose, the two building wings G3 and G5 will be decommissioned and separated from the parts of the hospital in operation. In the other building wings, new fire compartments must partly be created and existing fire compartments adapted.
