klimaaktiv mobil ist eine Initiative des Bundesministerium für Innovation, Mobilität und Infrastruktur (BMIMI) im Mobilitätsbereich. Zu den Zielen von klimaaktiv mobil gehört die Förderung der Radnutzung in Österreich im Zuge des Programms „Mobilitätsmanagement für Bildungs- und Jugendeinrichtungen“. Da Mobilitätsgewohnheiten schon in der Kindheit entstehen, unterstützt klimaaktiv mobil Kinder durch Radfahrkurse dabei, Radfahrkompetenz zu erlangen und eine Freude am Radfahren zu entwickeln. klimaaktiv mobil Radfahrkurse können von Primarschulen (das heißt Volksschulen und die Sonderschulen bis einschließlich der 4. Schulstufe) sowie von Schulen mit Sekundarstufe 1 (5. bis 8. Schulstufe) in ganz Österreich bei einer bei klimaaktiv mobil registrierten Radfahrschule gebucht werden. Die Kosten eines klimaaktiv mobil Radfahrkurses werden auf Antrag der Schule für jede Klasse der Schulstufe 1 bis 8 einmal pro Schuljahr nach dem verlautbarten Kostenschema durch klimaaktiv mobil und nach Maßgabe vorhandener Budgetmittel übernommen. Interessierte Radfahrschulen, welche die Registrierungsvoraussetzungen erfüllen, sind eingeladen, einen Antrag auf Registrierung einzureichen.
