Description
The Norwegian Opera & Ballet (DNOB) cancelled the competition for Operations and Management Partner, case #24017, on 5.12.2025, on the grounds that were then informed the tenderers in the competition. After receiving appeals for the cancellation of the competition, DNO&b and several external legal consultants have carried out a new and thorough assessment of both the submitted complaint that led to the cancellation, the complaint that the competition was cancelled, as well as the original tender documentation. This assessment revealed that the difference in the assessment theme between the qualification requirements and the award criteria is of such a nature that the original evaluation was carried out in a proper manner. The basis for the cancellation was therefore not correct. The errors identified by the award are not of such severity that they provide a justifiable basis for cancelling the competition. The cancellation decision will therefore be reversed. The result of the original competition is maintained, and Den Norske Opera &Ballett will enter into a contract with Bekk AS, which was originally awarded the contract.
