Development and implementation of a modern control system for BERNMOBIL

BERNMOBIL is procuring the development and implementation of a new modern control system for its scheduled line operations. The project is a joint, innovative development between the two contracting parties with costs shared at 50% each, described as a limited one-time opportunity. The aim is not to replace the system with an off-the-shelf standard product, but to progressively develop a new open, modular and future-proof control system. It must continue existing operations without interruption (parallel shadow operation), open up new technological possibilities iteratively, offer long-term investment protection and respond flexibly to changing public transport requirements. The procurement is an iterative development and innovation project.
