Description

Het doel van Visual Radio is tweeledig. In de eerste plaats is het doel om de audiocontent van de Publieke Omroepen visueel zo aantrekkelijk mogelijk te maken zodat deze optimaal is voor distributie via online (social media) netwerken. In de tweede plaats wil de NPO er voor zorgen dat op het moment dat er nieuws wordt gegenereerd in de radio-uitzendingen van de Publieke Omroep, er direct beeld beschikbaar is voor andere media die dit nieuws overnemen.  Gezien de financiële uitdagingen waar de Publiek Omroep de komende jaren voor staat is het de wens om Visual Radio zo efficiënt mogelijk in te richten. Dit betekent dat we zullen overgaan naar een situatie waarbij de Visual Radio dienstverlening in staat is om zonder menselijk ingrijpen een complete Visual Radio uitzending te realiseren zonder dat dit ten koste gaat van de kwaliteit. Op het moment dat er wel menselijk ingrijpen is vereist moet het mogelijk zijn om dit ter plaatse te doen, maar moet het ook mogelijk zijn om dit op afstand te doen.
