De Gemeente Amsterdam (hierna: de Gemeente) verkent momenteel hoe de ondersteuning voor inwoners met dementie en hun naasten in de toekomst het beste kan worden ingericht. Vanuit deze verkenning wordt er onderzocht welke mogelijkheden er zijn om de ondersteuning te organiseren vanuit de Wet maatschappelijke ondersteuning (Wmo). Op dit moment is nog niet besloten of - en op welke wijze - de gemeente over zal gaan tot inkoop van deze dienstverlening. Voorafgaand aan een eventuele besluitvorming wordt het van belang geacht om inzichten op te halen uit de markt. De aanbesteding voor Ambulante Ondersteuning Individueel (AIO) voor de bestaande percelen (NAH, LVB, autisme, auditief en visueel) is reeds gepubliceerd. Deze huidige marktconsultatie richt zich specifiek op ondersteuning voor mensen met dementie. Het doel van deze consultatie is om inzicht te krijgen in de behoeften van deze doelgroep en de mogelijkheden binnen de markt om passende ondersteuning te bieden. Met deze marktconsultatie wil de gemeente informatie verzamelen bij aanbieders voor de inrichting van een mogelijke aanbesteding dementie. De marktconsultatie staat open voor alle aanbieders van dementie-dienstverlening.
